Recession? What Recession? …I Refuse to Participate.

Lots of people are talking about doom and gloom with the economy…and I am here to tell you that my company, Junior’s Promotions, is thriving and having a record year…I refuse to participate in a recession.

Dr. Ivan Misner has written a a couple great post on this topic and things you can do.  I encourage you to read them here, here and here.

The little things you do in your business to promote yourself and strengthen the relationships with the people in your network or clients can do wonders to keep your business strong and growing in these “so called” economic slow downs.  Here are 4 things you can do to promote and strengthen relationships in your network or with clients.

  1. Send your clients a card.  An easy way to do this is with Send Out Cards.  Haven’t heard about this great service, please check out the following websites for Independent Distributors Pam Wittenben and Rick Pavlik.  These are two great professionals that will get you started.
  2. Get on a routine program of sending useful office promotional products.  Professionals are always using note pads, pens and sticky notes.  Why not have people in your network using these items with your picture and contact information on.
  3. Pick up the phone and call your clients.  Most people feel they are “bothering” their clients by contacting them on a routine basis.  Get over it…most of the time your clients will be glad you called as long as you are calling to touch base and check-in.  Don’t make it a sales pitch.  I recently lost a nice sale with a great client, just because my competition did a better job of touching base.  I will tell you I wont let it happen again with this client.
  4. Promote your clients and people in your network…help them generate more business.  A great tool can be a newsletter.  Here are my company’s August and September newsletters…notice the client highlight sections.  In addition starting in October I will be having guest authors covering various business aspects.  In October, Dana Zurbuchen will be writing for Concepts.

The little things you do in your business will allow you to thrive and be prosperous durning turbulent economic times like we “may” have now.
